Our Floor Plan

While this isn't our dream home..... (cause a multi million dollar house is just a tad out of our price range)..... this house though, it's pretty close!! I mean, we are going to have a garage, and a fireplace, and a pantry in our kitchen! There will be our own bath tub and a closet bigger than 3 feet! It all sounds pretty dreamy to me. It's so far from what we've had. Don't get me wrong. We have loved ALL of our homes. The walls that surrounded us in those home, hold so many memories. Our homes have been special and full of stories.
What I have loved most is building the floor plan ourselves! I was able to create a house that makes sense for us and our young family.

I got out my graph paper and set to work to build this floor plan. We started with our master bedroom on the opposite side of the house from the kids rooms. After walking through a gorgeous parade of homes house near by, all the rooms were grouped together and I knew that just made more sense. So, I drew another plan.

At first I had a living room off the front entrance, but I just didn't know if we would use that space as much as I would want and so as I was running on the treadmill one day..... I just thought, let's put the stairs right in the front and make a really pretty entrance! I am really happy with the idea and that there isn't an inch of space in our house that I don't think we will fully utilize every single day.

We've made changes and there. We are really so happy with so much of the plan! Here's the latest plan. Just know....we prob will not be doing the slide since our framing is about 4k more because an increase in lumber. But otherwise it's pretty set!
